Grandmaster Wan Kam Leung is the founder of Practical Wing Chun. His 50+ years of experience and ingenuity has led him to develop this effective system of self-defense and combat. A true innovator, he has thoroughly scrutinized and tested his Wing Chun to modify the techniques, improving their effectiveness while remaining true to the principles of Wing Chun.  Grandmaster Wan encourages Practical Wing Chun practitioners to approach training positively and realistically. A renown student of the late Grandmaster Wong Shun Leung (黃淳樑), Grandmaster Wan Kam Leung's accolades include:

  • Chief Wing Chun Instructor of G4 (VIP Protection Unit) and only Kung Fu Master ever employed by the former Royal Hong Kong Police Force

  • Awarded "Senior Instructor Certification" by Grandmaster Wong Shun Leung

  • Served on the board of directors and longtime senior instructor of the Ving Tsun Athletic Association

  • Named 2008 Sifu of the Year by the World Ving Tsun Athletic Association

Master William Kwok is the first Regional Director of Wan Kam Leung Practical Wing Chun Kung Fu in the United States and a leading authority of the system in America. His practice and dedication have since led him to become Grandmaster Wan's first Closed Door Disciple to complete the entire Practical Wing Chun curriculum and professionally teach outside of Hong Kong.

In 2007 Master Kwok established Gotham Martial Arts -  a school where martial virtues are paramount to the learning experience. Master Kwok stresses developing the mind and body, high ethical standards, and kindness - principles formed in traditional Chinese Culture. His dedication to the community has awarded him national and local recognition. Master Kwok's accolades include:
